Captain (Ret.) Tim Ellenberger had served with the High Point Police Department since 1992, recently retiring after 30 years in law enforcement. Since 2012, Ellenberger had overseen High Point’s Offender Focused Domestic Violence Initiative. Ellenberger has presented this strategy on various levels to over 25 law enforcement agencies. Ellenberger has also presented at several conferences, including the Center For Problem Oriented Policing Conference, where the initiative received the 2016 Herman Goldstein Award for Excellence in Problem Oriented Policing.
